Manaslu Trek
The Manaslu region offers a collection of remarkable trekking experiences including the Manaslu Circuit Trek, Tsum Valley Trek, Tsum Valley Manaslu Heli Trek, Manaslu Trek Upper Route, Manaslu Trek via Serang Gompa, Manaslu Nar Phu Valley Trek, Lower Manaslu Trek, Short Manaslu Circuit Trek, Three Passes Trek, and even the adventurous Manaslu Expedition. These routes guide you through remote river gorges, ancient Buddhist monasteries, and high Himalayan landscapes that remain far less crowded than other popular trekking areas.
A classic journey follows the trail from lower villages like Machha Khola and Jagat, climbing gradually through Deng, Namrung, Lho, and the culturally rich village of Samagaun. Here many trekkers explore Birendra Lake or hike toward the base of Mount Manaslu (8,163 m / 26,781 ft). The path then leads to Samdo at around 3,875 m (12,713 ft) before ascending to Dharamsala and the trek’s ultimate highlight — Larkya La Pass (5,106 m / 16,752 ft). From the top, breathtaking views open up toward Himalchuli (7,893 m / 25,896 ft), Ngadi Chuli (7,871 m / 25,823 ft), Cheo Himal (6,820 m / 21,889 ft), and Larke Peak (6,249 m / 20,499 ft). After crossing the pass, the trail descends through Bhimtang, Tilije, and eventually reaches Dharapani, marking the end of this unforgettable Himalayan adventure.
