Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu Check Into hotel.
- Airport pick up and hotel transfer
- Rest of the day is free at leisure
- Overnight stay at your hotel in Kathmandu
You will be warmly welcomed at the airport by our office representative and then you will transfered to hotel.
Day 2: Trek preparation and Kathmandu Sightseeing
- Hotel breakfast
- Pick up by our team and head to our office for your trek briefing and preparation
- Afternoon sightseeing in Kathmandu
- Kathmandu Durbar Square
- Swayambunath Monkey Temple
- Drop of at your hotel
- Overnight in Kathmandu
Our staff will give brief explanation about the program . you will visit cultural heritages, which includes some of the famous world heritages sites like, Swyambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square....
Day 3: Fly from Kathmandu to Mu-Gumpa (3,700m) by Helicopter and explore Tsum-Valley
- Hotel breakfast and check out
- Pick up by our team and transfer to the airport.
- A scenic Heli flying of half an hour to Tsum from where we begain this trek of the Manaslu Region.
- Explore Mu Gumpa, and Ganesh Himal base camp
- Dinner and overnight stay in Mu-Gompa Monastary.
Traveler’s note: “
TSUM VALLEY” Tsum literally means vivid. This is taken as a hidden valley which lies in Gorkha District 150km west from the capital Kathmandu. The destination is full of natural beauty with the shear khola(river), big flat landforms ,hills and mountains seen from every corners of the valley. The trekking permits opened very recently in 2008, which gives an opportunity to see hidden beauty of flora & fauna. With the co-operation and pleasing nature of local people, the area has been declared as non-violence & Buddhism in 2012.Due to the reason, you will see the close view of Himalayan Thar & Blue ship moving around in huge groups. So far the history is concerned, it has got 700 years of past history with Mani, Chaitya, chorten with Tibetan origin of people living since the past.Another special features of this area,Lera Gompa,Rachen Gompa_only ladies Buddhist monks(Aani),Mu Gompa_only gents monks(Dhawa).It is highly believed that Guru Milerapa had a tough meditation in same area which is proved by footprints available there which it tooks 15 minutes walking from the Burji Gaun.The Culture,dress,food and festivals of local people taken the public attentions. The panaroma view of Ganesh Himal Sringi Himal and naked hills makes more interesting. The famous kyimu lung a pilgrims circuit in the central trans Himalaya which is a popular centre of learning and meditations, transverse the Tsum valley and Manaslu Area in Nepal.
Day 4: Mu Gompa trek down to Chumling (2,386m) 6/7 Hours
- Breakfast and departure
- Today we head back to Chumling to continue our trek westwards
- The trail is mostly downhill and easy going
- Dinner and overnight stay back in Chumling village
Day 5: Chumling trek to Deng (1,860m) 5/6 hours walking.
- Breakfast and departure
- We retrace our steps back towards Philim
- Here we head towards the direction of Ghap
- Following the trail until reaching Deng village
- Dinner and overnight stay at Deng
Traveler’s note: Today our destination is Deng. where You can try local food with good test . On proceeding further you cross the Siyar Khola bridge and reach a junction where the trail separates to Tsum valley on your right. Like this we walk and reach Deng and we will spend over night there.
Day 6: Deng trek to Namrung (2,630m)
- Breakfast and departure
- Starting by heading down to the riverside
- After crossing the bridge an upwards climb takes us to Ranagoan
- From here we trek further to Bihi Phedi
- The trail splits in to two and we take the right side trail to Ghap
- After passing through Ghap village we climb up to Namrung
- Dinner and overnight stay at Namrung village
Traveler’s note: Today we get clear views of the Ganesh, Shingri and Kutang Himal.
Day 7: Namrung trek to Lho (3,180m) 4 Hours walking.
- Breakfast and departure
- Permit check post and start the trail towards Lho
- Following the path through Lihi Gaon
- Continue downwards to Sho Goan
- It’s not long before we reach the village of Lho
- Lunch ,Dinner and overnight stay in Lho village.
Traveler’s note: The eight highest mountain the world, Mt Manaslu comes in sight today! Today is the first day to see Manaslu and specially the real exciting view of Larke gonna start from today. and also we gonna see most of the locals clad in traditional Tibetan dress while walking in the way to Lho. from this day we will move towards the high quite altitude, So it is recommended to walk walk slowly and check your body signs by bring carful.
Day 8: Lho Trek to Samagau (Ryo) (3520 m) 4 hrs walking.
- Breakfast and departure
- Today is a short trek as we head gradualy up towards Sama (Ryo)
- Stopping in Shyala to take in the amazing 360 degree Himalayan view
- We head further until reaching Sama (Ryo)
- Dinner and overnight stay in Sama (Ryo) Village
Traveler’s note: Sama is localy more known as Samagaon, gaon meaning village. Today incredible views await of the, Manaslu, Himal Chuli, Nadi Peak, Naike Peak, Kutang Himal and the Pangbuche Himal. Shyala is the first town we gonna have today which is one of the best view point of this region to see 360 degree only mountain from town.
Day 9: Sama (Ryo) Acclimatization day
- Breakfast
- A well-deserved acclimatization day is planned today
- After breakfast we can take a hike to get more used to the high altitude
- Option 1: hike around Birendra Lake and Manaslu Base Camp
- Option 2: hike up to the Pungen Gumpa
- Dinner and overnight stay in Sama (Ryo)
Traveler’s note: Samagaun is a village development committee in Gorkha District in the Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 665 and had 179 houses in the village. Today is an acclimatization day, we can hike around Birendra lake/Manaslu Base camp or Pungen Gumpa etc. discuss with guide which one gonna be best one according your fitness and desire.
Day 10: Samagau-Trek to Samdo (12,713 feet / 3,875 m) 3/4hrs walking.
- Breakfast and departure
- It’s a relatively short trek today up to Samdo
- Due to the high elevation we take it slowly while climbing upwards
- By lunch time we reach Samdo village
- In the afternoon we can rest or take a hike up to Samdo Peak
- Dinner and overnight stay at Samdo
Traveler’s note: the views of Mt Manaslu from Samdo Peak are just incredible is you have the stamina it is worth hiking up there. Samdo is a well-known Tibetan refugee camp. After spending a hole day and 2 night on samagau we start our treks towards the samdo or close to hiking options . samdo has excellent views of Manaslu along with other Himalayan ranges including Simrang, Hiunchuli, Ngadi, Larkye Peak, Cheo, and possibly Kang Guru behind the pass. Here we can many kinds of beautiful mountain birds like the Lophophorus (the national bird of Nepal), .we can see yak, houres, mountain mouse, bluesheep etc.
Day 11: Samdo to Dharamsala (14,633 feet / 4,460 m) 4/5hrs walking.
- Breakfast and departure
- Today we head to the foot of the Larya La, Dharmasala
- The trail leads us slowly upwards until reaching our overnight stop
- Dinner and overnight stay in Dharmasala
Traveler’s note: tomorrow we face our first pass the Larkya La at 5,160 meter, better take a good night rest and prepare your camera batteries. Did you know that Dharmasala is also known as Larkya Phedi ? After breakfast, today we move through the samdo to Dharamsala you will pass a seasonal Tibetan market called Larke Bazaar beside to the Budi Gandaki Rive. you'll see many traditional monasteries. While walking towards the dharamsala . we will do shorter hike leaves time for acclimatization and relaxing in the afternoon in dharmsala.
Day 12: Dharmasala to Bhimtang (3,590m) via Larkya La Pass (5,160m) 7/8 hours walking.
- Early breakfast and departure
- The trail goes slowly up until reaching the Larkya La pass
- At the Pass we take a break to enjoy the amazing views
- After finishing our crossing the trail leads downhill to Bhimtang
- Dinner and overnight stay at Bhimtang village
Traveler’s note: from the Larkya La Pass we get some amazing views of the Cheo Himal, Gyaji Kung, Kang Guru and the Annapurna II. All above 6,000 meter mountains! Today is one of the crucial and most waited day of the trip for great view and adventure. (7-8 hrs) Once you got in Bhimthang, it might be best accommodation of the trek and right place to celebrate great success of Larke La.
Day 13: Bimthang to Tilije ( 2,300 m/7,546 feet ) 5/5hrs. walking
- Breakfast and departure
- We hike downhill for the most part of the day
- After a good 4 hours we reach the village of Ghoa
- From here we continue downwards to Tilje
- Dinner and overnight stay in Tilje village
Traveler’s note: waking up early today allows for an amazing sunrise view from the teahouse. After passing the top peek of the world we are in the bimthang by having and we are starting our next journey towards the tilije .tilije is the beautiful village with beautiful people of there local culture . In tilije we can have good hotels and we can find free wi-fie after crossing the mountain.
Day 14: Tilije trek to Dharapani and drive to Besisahar by jeep. 6/7 hours.
- Breakfast and departure
- Following the trail down to Dharapani.
- The path leads us through pine forests and several small villages
- Lunch in Dharapani arrange jeep to Besisahar.
- After Lunch Drive to Besisahar.
Traveler’s note: This is our last day of massive Tsum-Valley and Manaslu circuit trek, after arrive Besisahar by 4 hours driving, get into the town, good food and drinks then plan for the further days.
Day 15: Drive to Kathmandu or Pokhara by Tourist Bus 5/6 hrs. driving.

- Drive to your destination:
Traveler’s note: Guide and porters will drive back to kathmandu, if our clients would have time we recommend them to spend few nights in Pokhara, which is a beautiful touristic town of Nepal. so we transfer to pokhara or if no time then together drive back to kathamndu.
